Central Fresno, Tower District, Sunnyside
Older ranch homes from the 1950s through 70s, many with original gunite pools now on a second or third finish. These are the properties most likely to be past due, and most likely to need a real look underneath before anyone quotes a simple resurface.
North Fresno, Woodward Park, Copper River
Newer construction, larger pools with more complex shapes and spa spillovers. Many of these were built in the 2000s and 2010s and are hitting their first resurface cycle right about now if they haven't already.
Clovis
Fast growing, with a mix of ages and several HOA-governed communities where the shared pool falls under Fresno County's public pool rules, separate from the private single family rules that cover a backyard pool.
Sanger, Reedley, Del Rey, Selma, Kingsburg
East and south county agricultural towns. Some properties here run on well water rather than city supply, and well water hardness can vary even more than the city's already hard tap water, which changes how often a pool needs its calcium checked.
Fowler, Parlier
Smaller ag communities where scheduling matters more simply because there are fewer contractors making the drive regularly. Combining a quote visit with a neighbor's if you can is often the fastest way to get someone out.
Kerman, Biola, Raisin City
West side of the valley floor. Longer distances from most contractor bases in central Fresno, so book with more lead time than you would closer in.
Madera County edge, Riverdale, Laton
Just over the county line in places, where the same California safety and licensing rules apply statewide even though local drain and fill permitting can differ by jurisdiction. We tell you upfront if a property falls outside where our network runs.

One thing worth knowing wherever you are in the valley
If your pool sits inside an HOA or apartment complex rather than a private backyard, it falls under Fresno County's public pool rules, administered separately from the residential rules covered on this site, with its own plaster color and inspection requirements.
